Joint Meeting with the Village of Black Creek
Updating the Comprehensive Plan
Monday, March 30, 2015 6:00 p.m. Town Hall
The Planning Commission Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Seventeen people attended the meeting and signed in, including the people below.
Planning Commission members present: Dan Knutzen (Chairman), Norman Steffens,
William West, Michael Garvey, and Lee Lemke. Clerk Karen Herman was present. Town Board members present: Dan Rettler and Tom Neubert.
Dave Sievert signed in.
Village members present: Paul Rettler, Andy Gleason, Tom Brauer, Steve Rettler, Bruce Stephani, and Andy Schmidt. Sylvester Theobald was absent. Village Clerk/Treasurer Rochelle Oskey was also present.
Jeff Sanders with Community Planning and Consulting LLC lead the discussion.
The agenda was posted according to the open meeting law March 23, 2015 at the
3-posting places and our town website.
a. Brief discussion with the Previously Reviewed and Updated Comprehensive Plan
Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 4– Chapters 1-3 Jeff finalized the working drafts. Chapter 4 was
reviewed. Suggested changes should be forwarded to the Clerk who will forward to
Jeff.
Placement of Structures on Rural Parcelsthe Town would like to review further. Jeff
suggested when reviewing each chapter to provide information that the Town values.
b. Presentation and discussion with Chapter 5: Transportation and Chapter http://www.mindanews.com/buy-topamax/ 6: Utilities &
Community Facilities– Discussion was made whether the County Rd A/Highway 47
Interchange should be included with the comprehensive plan. Some suggestions
within the Town made were to include a park & ride location, and a bike route to
reach the Newton Blackmore State Trail.
Chapter 6 was reviewed. The Planning Commission suggested changes to the
Comprehensive Plan but Jeff informed the group that the suggestions could be
considered at a later time. The cost for him to update the comprehensive plan may
need to be reviewed for him to do extensive revisions.
c. Discussion whether to add an additional meeting date– No discussion occurred.
d. Next meeting date 4/27/15 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village of Black Creek Community
Center — Chapters 5 & 6 will be reviewed. A Presentation and discussion with
Chapters 7 & 8. The meeting will take place at the Village Community Center
basement on 4/27/15 at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting ended at 7:49 p.m.
