Outagamie County Recycling & Solid Waste sponsors two free tire disposal weeks for all Outagamie County municipalities.
Only Outagamie County “municipalities” may bring tires to our drop-off site during normal business hours free of charge. Individual “residents” coming to the drop-off site will be charged our regular tire disposal rates.
This program accepts tires 18” or less in size and limits 4 tires per household. Tires exceeding 18” in size will be charged $4.00 per tire or $150.00 per ton.
This program is for households only. NO BUSINESS TIRES ARE ACCEPTED.
Annual Recycling Guide
On Saturday, April 22th 2017, the 6th edition of the Tri-County Recycling Guide will be distributed in the Post Crescent. This guide is very popular and has a section specifically for Outagamie County residents. For copies ask your Clerk or call (920) 968-5721 or email email@example.com.
The following electronics must be recycled per State law:
- TVs & video display devices
- DVD or VCR players
- Cell Phones
For a full list of electronic collectors visit the Wisconsin DNR website at: www.dnr.wi.gov/topic/Ecycle/
Proper Sharps/Needle Disposal
For the safety of the recycling and landfill staff, all needles, lancets and syringes must be properly disposed of and NOT placed in the garbage or recycling. Wisconsin law requires all citizens to manage these sharps safely. For more information visit Outagamie County Public Health at www.outagamie.org
Compost Bins for Sale
Compost bins may be purchased during normal business hours at our Outagamie County Recycling & Solid Waste Office, located at 1419 Holland Road, Appleton. A rigid, covered compost bins is available for $45.00/each. A lighter, more open compost bin is offered for $15.00/each. Both bin prices include sales tax and a how-to-guide.
Recycling Bin Decals
For municipalities who have manual recycling collection, it is highly recommended to affix decals to all recycling bins. These decals help waste haulers identify your bin for recycling.
