Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, September 18, 2012 Following Public Hearing at 8:00 p.m. Town Hall
The Planning Commission Meeting was called to order at 8:50 p.m.
Planning Commission members present: Merlin Heiden, John Lemke, Norman Steffens, and Dan Knutzen (Chairman). Clerk Karen Herman was also present. Jeff Sanders with Community Planning and Consulting and Jason & Morgan Bonnin were also present. (People who attended the hearing left or were reviewing the zoning maps while this meeting took place.)
The agenda was posted according to the open meeting law September 6, 2012 at the 3-posting places.
MOTION: Heiden/Steffens to dispense the reading of the minutes and approve the July 17, 2012 and August 21, 2012 Planning Commission meeting minutes. All said aye. Motion carried.
a. Review and approve Certified Survey Maps (CSM) for Dale & Nancy Schmoll
010-023500 – CSM was reviewed by the Planning Commission.
b. Road frontage variance to build a home for Bonnin on Hwy 54 – preliminary site and
feasibility plan– Knutzen had Jeff Sanders explain the variance process to
Jason & Morgan Bonnin because parcel #010-018500 has 33 feet road frontage
(easement) to County Rd PP but the towns ordinance requires 120 feet of road frontage.
They are interested in building a home on this parcel. Road frontage of 120 feet exists
North of this parcel but there is no existing driveway to highway 54. Knutzen will be
contacting the town’s attorney to determine if a variance is necessary.
The following applications will be reviewed at the next planning commission meeting:
Appeal of Variance
Conditional Use Permit
Site Plan Review
Zoning Amendment
No date has been set at this time.
MOTION: Heiden/Steffens to adjourn at 9:39 p.m. All said aye. Motion carried.
Karen Herman, Clerk
