Public Hearing Minutes
Monday, June 30, 2014 8:00 p.m. Town Hall
The Public Hearing was called to order at 8:00 p.m.
The following were present at the meeting:
Planning Commission members: Michael Garvey, Bill West, Norman Steffens, Lee Lemke, and Dan Knutzen
(Chairman). Town Board members: Tom Neubert, and Dan Rettler. Clerk Karen Herman was present.
Guests: Dave Johnson, Assistant Planning Director with Outagamie County and Jeffrey Sanders with Community Planning and Consulting LLC. Residents: Rick & Chris Stedl; Larry and Ben Schwister (arrived at 8:20 p.m.). Everyone signed in.
Jeff Sanders summarized the new zoning ordinance changes:
–Elimination of the 35-acre minimum lot size.
–Provision allowing for the creation of up to four non-farm residences on base farm tracts as long as each non-farm residence is at least one-acre in size, is contiguous with other existing or proposed non-farm residences, and that a minimum of 20 acres of agricultural land will be maintained for each one acre of non-farm residential parcels.
–Farmland credits changed to $5, $7.50 or $10 per qualifying acre of farmland.
The determination of qualifications of credit is done by the Outagamie Land Conservation Department. There is a certification process for all farms in this program.
Discussion took place.
With no more questions. MOTION: West/Lemke to close the hearing at 8:26 p.m. All said aye. Motion carried.

The Planning Commission meeting was opened at 8:26 p.m.
MOTION: Garvey/West to accept the ordinance as written and recommend to the Town Board to proceed. All said aye. Motion carried.
MOTION: Garvey/West to close the Planning Commission meeting at 8:28 p.m. all said aye. Motion carried.
The next Planning Commission meeting has not been determined at this time.

The town board meeting was opened at 8:28 p.m.
MOTION: Rettler/Neubert to accept the recommendation from the planning commission and to move to the Outagamie County Zoning Committee for approval. All said aye. Motion carried.
MOTION: Rettler/Neubert to close the town board meeting at 8:29 p.m. All said aye. Motion carried.
The next regularly scheduled Town Board meeting will be July 14, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.
