Special Town Board Meeting
(Immediately Following the Planning Commission Meeting)
Monday, February 16, 2015 8:15 p.m. Town Hall
The town board meeting was opened at 8:15 p.m.
The following were present from the hearing:
Planning Commission members present: Dan Knutzen (Chairman), Norman Steffens,
William West, Michael Garvey, and Lee Lemke. Clerk Karen Herman was present. Town Clerk Karen Herman was present. Board members: Tom Neubert, and Dan Rettler.
Guests: Dave Johnson (left at 8:16 p.m.), Assistant Planning Director with Outagamie County and Jeffrey Sanders with Community Planning and Consulting LLC. Residents: Megan Wilcox, and Fritz Piete.
Jeff Sanders reviewed the following 4 state criteria’s which are required to be met before rezoning out of exclusive agriculture: 1) If the rezone will better suit the usage of the land (usage wont change), 2) If the rezone is consistent with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan (consistent), 3) Substantially fits with the Outagamie County Farmland Preservation Plan (low amount rezoned), and 4) Doesn’t substantially limit or impair other surrounding property (doesn’t affect the other adjoining property).
MOTION: Rettler/Neubert to accept the CSM and rezone. All said aye. Motion carried.
MOTION: Rettler/Neubert to close the special town board meeting at 8:20 p.m. All said aye. Motion carried.
