BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING

Monday, November 14, 2011                              7:00 p.m.                                           Town Hall

The November Board of Supervisor’s meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m.  Officials present:  Chairman Dan Knutzen, 1st Supervisor Dan Rettler, 2nd Supervisor Tom Neubert, Clerk Karen Herman, and Treasurer Jeri Ohman.  Deputy Sherrif Linskens was present to discuss town issues.

 

The agenda was posted according to the open meeting law on November 10, 2011.

MOTION:  Rettler/Neubert to dispense the reading of the following minutes and to approve the:
 

October 10, 2011 Monthly Town Board Meeting Minutes,
 

October 12, 2011  Working on 2012 Budget Meeting Minutes,

November 10, 2011 Budget Hearing Minutes, and

November 10, 2011 Special Town Meeting of the Electors Minutes (to approve the 2011 town tax levy to be paid in 2012) as presented.  All said aye.  Motion carried.

p.)  Budget Resolution 13-2011
      BUDGETED ACCOUNTS
      The sum of $1,436.43 from the account Town Hall Expenses be transferred to the following
      budgeted accounts to pay the bills for November:
            The sum of $800.00 transferred to the budgeted account Elections account to pay the bills.
            The sum of $240.00 transferred to the budgeted account Cemetery account to pay the bills.
            The sum of $396.43 transferred to the budgeted account Fuel Surcharge /Land Fill account
            to pay the bills.
            ROLE CALL VOTE:  Neubert=YES; Rettler=YES; Knutzen=YES;   3=YES and 0=NO.

q.)  Set Date for Annual Meeting – April 10, 2011 8:00 p.m.
     
r.)  CountyRefundfor Recycling Fuel Surcharge – The clerk has determined with contacting the
     county, that recycling fuel surcharges can be refunded by the county.  The following recycling
     fuel surcharges will be refunded by the county: 
            2010 (Oct. – Dec.) Recycling Fuel Surcharge refund $95.48

            2011 (Jan – Sept) Recycling Fuel Surcharge refund $1,015.65
            Total = $1,111.13

     Recycling Fuel Surcharge payments will be refunded monthly from now on and included with the
     monthly recycling pickup charges reimbursement from the county.

s.)  Joe Schmidt requesting new liquor license $10,000 fee, be reimbursed for
      improvements – Schmidt no long pursuing.  Take off agenda.
      
t.)  Recycling Contract Expires 12/31/2012 with Harters – Will advertise for bids in April.
     
u.)  Adopt 2012 Budget – MOTION:  Rettler/Neubert to adopt the budget for 2012.  All said aye. 
      Motion carried.

Clerk will start using the new checks associated with Fox Communities Credit Union account.
 

On agenda – Ambulance Contract

Correspondence taken care of.  
The treasurer's report, receipts, disbursements, checking, and money market accounts for totals have been reviewed.

Bills for November were reviewed and discussed.

Motion – Neubert/Rettler to approve the Treasurer’s Report, and to transfer $27,000.00 to pay the bills.  All said aye.  Motion carried. 

Total bills for November:  $25,900.24
